About the role
We need a software developer! We're looking for someone with experience so you can hit the ground running with a high-functioning team. You'll build enhancements for a portal, increase reliability and performance, contribute ideas for the future of the product, and suggest technological solutions and platforms. DGtek is your blank canvas. Bring your big brain and your big ideas.
You must possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline
- Outstanding verbal & written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with technical & non-technical colleagues.
- Ability to analyse and develop features and fixes.
- Perform full life-cycle application development with ability to deliver quality products on time
- Design, code and debug applications in various software languages and platforms (.Net/C#/SQL/HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Typescript/node.js/native.js)
- Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
- Unit testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit, NUnit, PyUnit, Jasmine).
- Build systems (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo and Webpack).
- Bug/defect tracking systems & source control tools (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla, Subversion and Git).
- The ability to think independently, act quickly & re-focus.
- A strong & proven desire to learn more effective & efficient ways of working.
- Self-motivation, proactiveness & strong organisational skills.
